Getting the consistency just right

It's our 10th year as The BD Consultancy, so we're posting 10 themes over 10 weeks in the form of BD slices. Last Friday’s BD slice shared how business intelligence fuels successful development strategies. Today, we continue to whet your appetite for BD by dishing up how to create and maintain brand and service consistency throughout your business.

It can be a huge task to celebrate individual team members, while offering clients a reassuringly consistent message and service. All too often, individuals are busy running their day jobs without taking a ‘one firm’ approach. This lack of consistency can have a negative impact on client satisfaction, which can cause a loss in profits (something that consistently captures partners’ attention…).

Most modern firms have cracked how to present a uniform brand in writing, getting individual professionals to action this is the challenge. Many of our clients find workshops an effective way of making sure the whole team are offering and delivering a consistent experience. As well as providing relevant examples - such as how to use social media professionally - we can show your team how to bring your brand to life in meetings, phone calls and emails.

It’s important to remember consistency isn’t just about creating cookie cutter strategies, you need to throw a bit of personality into the mix. Find out how firms such as FTI Consulting have achieved disciplined, consistent and confident business development by clicking here.
