The need

A global leader in low-carbon energy supply and services acquired a local portfolio of leading anaerobic digestion (AD) sites as part of its commitment to expanding sustainable energy solutions. To ensure a smooth transition, the organisation required strategic marketing support to align the acquired AD sites with the company’s brand while maintaining continuity for its existing portfolios and customers. As well as helping the local company improve their branding and marketing ahead of the sale process, subsequently contributing to the acquisition decision, we played a key role in managing the marketing transition; supporting events and PR activity, strengthening the organisation’s digital presence, and optimising content to facilitate a seamless integration and reinforce market confidence.

What we did

  • Event support: Provided full support for events to ensure smooth execution and engagement, including designing, printing and shipping marketing and exhibition materials such as stands, leaflets, and display boards. Worked alongside PR activity to ensure consistent delivery of messaging and brand profile.
  • Digital marketing management: Managed the website and LinkedIn (company and personal pages) to support the acquisition and boost engagement. We also implemented redirects to ensure the local website traffic was being directed to the acquirer’s new website.
  • Performance tracking and insights: Monitored website analytics to measure engagement and refine strategies accordingly.
  • Content and website optimisation: Updated website content and news on a regular basis to reflect branding and messaging.

The outcome

We supported a smooth transition of the brand with minimal disruption. Through targeted marketing, digital updates, and event support, we also strengthened the acquirer’s presence and brand recognition within the AD sector; a new service line for them in the UK.
