We are situated in The Office Group’s Bristol building, a place we chose in part due to their sustainability commitments (including partnerships with local, glass-bottled milk farmers and plastic-negative sanitary producers). As well as this, our office has plenty of natural light and overlooks a park and river, something that we have enhanced by adding a range of indoor plants to our space.
Being digitally enabled means we have minimal reliance on printing and paper. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are exploring how we can improve this further by reducing our reliance on data storage.
Due to offering hybrid working options, we encourage our team to respect the environment from wherever they work. We also support greener ways of living by switching off the lights when we are all out for lunch, providing recycling facilities for a wide range of waste streams, including batteries, and choosing green travel options wherever possible. Although we encourage active commuting, we recognise that everyone’s journeys are different, with physical and mental health playing a part in people’s choices. Having our HQ in the centre of Bristol means people have various options when it comes to travel and we offer home working too. Our client meetings have long been a mixture of virtual and face to face, due to the international mix of our client base. So, we only travel when we need to, and prioritise phone calls over email when possible to keep in touch.
We recognise that there’s no one size fits all approach to anything in life, including work. That’s why we have always taken a people-first approach to operating. With flexible and remote working options being our norm from day one, we are proud to live and breathe the values that make us a genuinely flexible company to work with – and for.
One of the ways we put our people first is by providing an employee benefits scheme, with a focus on mental health as well as physical wellbeing. Alongside a health cash plan, support lines, counselling and Cycle to Work schemes to name a few options, this ethos carries right through to our office snack box that’s full of ethical and Fairtrade goodies (including Graze snacks). The majority are healthy, but we like to include a few naughty treats too – it’s all about balance!
As well as supporting our team, we place our clients at the heart of our business by providing flexible and tailored options to suit their needs. This includes working remotely and/or onsite depending upon their requirements.
Profit (economic governance)
The core of what we do each day centres around supporting professional services to develop long-term and sustainable business. This is intrinsically linked to generating healthy profits and positive working relationships. If we feel that we’re not the ideal fit for a client project, we will introduce someone who is, to ensure the best outcome for the client and our team.
We ensure that our supply chain is as ethical and sustainable as possible by working with partners who share our values, including Ralph Media. We also have an anti-bribery and corruption policy in place to ensure our integrity. Plus, we have partnered with Boxlocal who support us with all our corporate gifting needs in a fair, ethical and sustainable way.
