The need

As a leading UK law firm, our clients were all too aware of the importance of staying ahead as the world shifted to working almost entirely online. The law firm previously carried out regular face to face learning, so they wanted their objectives to apply in a new course focussed on proactively developing relationships in the new online world.  In short, they needed great content that could be delivered at a high pace and energy, with relevant, challenging and thought-provoking examples to discuss.

What we did

We worked closely with the firm’s Head of Development to design a bespoke training programme comprising two modules. The content included how the firm should respond to new clients’ needs, with practical tips and ideas, including guidance on how to respond to common objections.

Each module was delivered online via a secure video calling platform. To keep the sessions as interactive as possible, we:

  • provided each session to four separate groups of no more than 15 people;
  • created breakout rooms containing a mixture of lawyers and BD people;
  • set informal ‘homework’ which was then used to kick off the second module.

The outcome

Each attendee learned the latest thinking and behaviours around how best to interact with their clients and prospects in a virtual world.
