Outsourced strategic marketing support for a renewable energy company
The need
Ixora Energy are an industry leading renewable energy company with five anaerobic digestion plants located across the South West of England. They needed ongoing strategic assistance to promote their environmental achievements to a wider audience, reach a new and emerging customer base, and support the expansion plans of their green energy production.
What we do
- We started by carrying out a complete website refresh, including written and visual content, with renewed focus on the company’s core offerings
- Plan, research, and create a regular stream of blog posts for Ixora Energy’s website
- Devise content schedules for the company’s website and LinkedIn page, highlighting key messages (including the role of AD in reaching Net Zero goals)
- Manage all activity relating to LinkedIn, including the company’s page as well as some of the team’s accounts
- Adapt material quickly, efficiently, and effectively in response to challenges such as climate change and the energy crisis
- Create supporting sales materials such as a digital ‘Welcome to Ixora Energy’ pack for new contacts
- Design promotional materials, notably a 9000mm x 1800mm sign to fit on the outside of an AD storage tank
- Identify and research new customers and contacts, as well as relevant prospects to support networking activity
- Work closely with Ixora’s PR team to promote press features including BBC Spotlight and Exeter Living, plus securing additional coverage in publications such as Business Insider and Action Net Zero
- Update the directors at weekly meetings, allowing us to gain a thorough understanding of the company and its priorities so that we can advise on strategic developments
The outcome
In the past year, we have already driven 3,000+ new website views and almost doubled the company’s number of LinkedIn followers. We have also helped the company win the ‘Communications’ award at the British Renewable Energy Awards 2023. By proactively managing the company’s marketing, we allow the directors to concentrate on major development goals, which we look forward to continuing to support.
